Zoos and Wildlife
Stare down the Arctic wolves, make faces at the Bengal tigers...or watch the sea lions make idiots of themselves. Feeding time is particularly riveting.
Located in the Phoenix Park, Dublin Zoo is Ireland's most popular family attraction, welcoming over one million visitors last year. The Zoo offers close encounters of the animal kind with a full schedule of activities and talks (available daily March-September, weekends October-February). You can also take a peek at the Events Calendar to see what's happening in addition to the regularly scheduled goings-on.
More than just a great day out for the whole family, this is a place to learn about wild animals and see them in action. And your visit will help maintain Dublin Zoo's high standard, improve the facilities and contribute to vital conservation programmes.
The 28 hectare park provides a home for some 400 animals, and gives humans a chance to visit a place 'where education and conservation combine for an exciting and unforgettable experience!'
