Finn McCool was the Giant of the Causeway in Irish Folklore who crossed the Causeway to Scotland. A volcano erupted in the region 60 million years ago from which lava flowed and created over 40, 000 hexagon columns of basalt rock, today we know it as the Giants Causeway. Dunluce Castle was built in the medieval era, it was the filming location of House of Greyjoy in Game of Thrones. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is situated in a stunning setting on the North Antrim coast The Giants Causeway is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in an Area of Outstanding Beauty.
